Hi, my name is Emma Rodney and this website is a representation of my career so far in experimenting with photography.
I've been exposed to cameras since I was a child, and always gravitated towards them with intrigue for how they worked.

Ever since those early days of curiosity, I've been teaching myself and learning photography techniques through my godfather Marcus' expertise and eventually once I felt comfortable in my skills, I bought my own Nikon DSLR.

Currently I am studying at Dawson College and entering my last semester. I have almost completed my program -Arts Literature and Culture- and have enjoyed it all. My focus was in Arts and Culture because of my love for art, history, studying society and what makes all those things collide within culture.

I've always been a open minded person and being in A.L.C allowed me to open my mind to many subjects and activities I had never had the chance to try.

Moving into the new chapter after Dawson, I plan on continuing my education wherever my creative spirit takes me. At the moment, I hope to further my experience in computer graphics and go towards Graphic Design as a career. Designing has always been something I have enjoyed, much like drawing or taking photos. I used to design houses, and floor plans, clothes...etc. I've decided on graphic design because it can have commercial or social uses while also using artistic elements.

I plan on keeping photography in my life as a hobby for a very long time, I enjoy and appreciate all its processes and learning experiences. Personally however, I think photography is one of my favorite hobbies because it's not part of my direct career plan and theres no pressure. When making my decision for post-high school education, all my friends urged me to go into choosing photography. Although I would have loved it and learned a lot, I've always been someone who enjoyed pushing myself, and forcing myself to be uncomfortable, and learn to adjust so I decided I wanted to try something new instead to widen my horizons.
